RICHARD HIMBER AND HIS ORCHESTRA
Volume 2: What Can You Say in a Love Song? (1934)
Renovation 7007

From NBC promotional materials of the mid-1930s: "Just scratch any of the really important radio popularity polls held during the past two years, and you'll consistently find Richard Himber and his music featured among the country's leading dance orchestras...[a]ll of which is not surprising after you've once heard the smooth, silky rhythms of Richard Himber and his music. Under his insinuating baton, tinkling dance melodies are coaxed into something more than just another 'number.' Himber is an innovator, a creator of original effects... In short, Richard Himber and his orchestra have a graceful smartness and a blended finish that invite listeners as well as dancers." This disc features all of Himber's recordings from 19 March 1934 through 23 October 1934. Vocalists include Joey Nash and Guy Russell. 73 minutes.

NOTE: This CD was produced by Renovation Records. Sadly, the Renovation label is no longer in operation. Rivermont has acquired the label's backstock and we are making the titles available on our website at a discounted price while supplies last.
